The Phoenix Suns have been linked in numerous trade talks throughout the offseason, involving players such as Kevin Durant, Jae Crowder and Deandre Ayton to just name a few.

The Crowder talks have only intensified after the two sides mutually agreed to part ways before training camp, and the Suns have been working the phones trying to find the right trade.

The Miami Heat makes sense for Crowder in a few ways. The Heat, who have once already had Crowder, again need a veteran presence and improved defense at power forward. Phoenix would be able to ship Crowder outside of the western conference and Crowder reportedly prefers Miami as his next destination.

Heavy.com's Sean Deveney reports the two have engaged in trade talks, but the Suns refused Duncan Robinson in exchange for Crowder.

Here's what an Eastern Conference executive told Deveney:

"They’ve tried to see what’s there for Duncan Robinson but there really is not much of a market unless you get a team willing to play him for a year and try to flip his contract next summer. They tried with Phoenix for Jae Crowder, but Phoenix did not want Robinson."

The Suns, rightfully so, feel as if they would need more than just Robinson in a deal for Crowder.

Robinson is in year two of a five-year, $90 million deal that will see the 28-year-old make $16.9 million this season.
