When it comes to the Phoenix Suns, rookie Toumani Camara isn't exactly first in the pecking order.

Players such as Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Bradley Beal and Deandre Ayton headline a star-studded starting lineup. Following them is a large group of veterans in rotational roles Eric Gordon, Yuta Watanabe, Keita Bates-Diop, Drew Eubanks, Chimezie Metu and Bol Bol.

Then, you have Camara - who was recently made the No. 52 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and is simply wanting to work his way into any role the Dayton product can.

Camara participated in Phoenix's recent stint in the Las Vegas Summer League, and though the overall performance of the team wasn't great, Camara shined in most of his outings and capped his time in Sin City with a 20-10 double-double.

Camara showed he could get it done on both ends of the court:

One anonymous Suns staffer says the rookie has impressed greatly since arriving to Phoenix, according to Spotrac's Keith Smith:

“Toumani (Camara) might be more ready to play than we thought. Once that jumper comes around, we feel like we’ve got a steal on our hands.”

That's exciting to hear for Suns fans, though it sounds like the team won't need his contributions right away with a loaded roster ahead of him.
