The Phoenix Suns once again found their winning ways.

Facing the potential of back-to-back defeats for the first time all season, the Suns battled back and forth early in the early stages before eventually pulling away in the second quarter of Wednesday's 129-117 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves

Phoenix would build a double digit lead and didn't look back, although Minnesota did their best to make it an interesting game in the closing minutes.

The Suns scored their second highest amount of points on the year, slightly trailing their 134-point effort in a win over Golden State.

After their loss in Philadelphia on Monday, coach Monty Williams wasn't too pleased with his squad:

"I think we could’ve put anybody out there tonight. We just didn’t have our normal juice. It was a bit of a toilet flusher to me. They had 15 offensive rebounds versus our six. We didn’t shoot a good clip. We didn’t generate any threes. We had 18 threes for the night," Williams said.

"I just didn’t think we had anything close to what we would call average as far as energy, ball movement and 50-50 pursuit. They were quicker to the ball. We can blame it on whatever we want to blame it on. It just felt like we were playing slower tonight for whatever reason. Those games happen. You just can’t allow that to happen again from an energy standpoint. We only scored 88 points. That’s hard to do in a NBA game."

Phoenix rebounded in great fashion, leading by as much as 27 points in the victory. The Suns were without Chris Paul (right heel soreness) and Cam Johnson (meniscus tear).

Torrey Craig didn't exactly light up the box score in Johnson's absence, but backup guard Cameron Payne did find some success, finishing with 23 points. Him, Mikal Bridges (31) and Devin Booker (32) all scored 20 points or more.

Mikal Bridges has scored 30+ points in a regular season game for the first time since Jan 9 of 2021.

The Suns converted 45.7% of shots from downtown (16-35) and forced 19 Timberwolves turnovers.

With the victory, Phoenix has now won five straight at Minnesota.

Up next: The third of a four-game road trip awaits in Orlando with the Magic on Friday night.
