Phoenix Suns PF Cam Johnson played just five minutes in Friday night's loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, exiting with a right knee injury. He logged just one assist in his short time on the court.

Johnson was replaced by Torrey Craig, who failed to fill the shoes in absence of the newfound starter, logging eight points and six assists.

After the game, Suns head coach Monty Williams was not able to give reporters an update on Johnson, but Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic reported Johnson exited the arena in crutches.

Johnson battled a finger sprain in preseason but managed to play all seven games prior to Friday. He was a large part of why the Suns emerged to a 6-1 record to start the season.

Now, Phoenix's bench depth will be tested even more after Johnson's injury. Jock Landale was the only of seven Suns back-ups who had a positive plus/minus on the night.

We'll likely hear more updates tomorrow prior to the second of two games vs. Portland this weekend, but the initial feeling isn't good on Johnson's immediate future.
