UPDATE: Devin Booker has checked back in with 8:49 left in the first half for Landry Shamet. He looks fine.
UPDATE: Deandre Ayton has now checked back in and looks fine.
Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton appeared to have been hit in the stomach during the first quarter of action against the Denver Nuggets.
He stayed down as the Suns pushed the ball up the court with Landry Shamet missing a layup before Denver nailed a three-point shot on the other end, forcing a timeout from Suns coach Monty Williams.
Jock Landale checked in for the former No. 1 overall pick.
Ayton hasn't gone to the locker room and has stayed on the bench with his warmup shirt over his jersey.
Before he checked out, Ayton scored six points in nine minutes with four rebounds and one steal.
Devin Booker awkwardly landed on his left foot/ankle with 2.4 seconds left in the first quarter when going for a layup. He was able to sink both free throws after being fouled by Jeff Green to finish the first with 12 points. He walked over to the bench under his own power, but it's something to monitor.
Phoenix opened the second quarter with Kevin Durant TJ Warren, Cameron Payne, Landry Shamet and Landale.
More updates will be provided as the game continues.
