The Phoenix Suns emerged victorious over the Dallas Mavericks in a Sunday afternoon showdown that went down to the final seconds.

In what felt like a playoff game with under 20 left in the regular season, Phoenix was able to emerge 3-0 in the Kevin Durant era.

Durant sank a shot with only seconds remaining on the clock to push Phoenix ahead 128-126. Driving down the other way to respond, Luka Doncic had a potential game-tying shot spin out of the room. Durant grabbed the rebound and was promptly fouled by Doncic with 3.5 seconds remaining.

Soon, Doncic and Booker would be face to face.

Before Durant shot his free throws to seal the game, Doncic walked over and said something under his jersey that drew smiles from both him and Durant.

This isn't the first or last time the two star players (Booker/Doncic) will have some exchanges on the court. The two clearly don't like each other, and that dates back to last season's postseason series between the two squads.

With both Phoenix and Dallas hoping to take advantage of their star-studded squads, a potential run in with each other in the playoffs could happen again.

Durant led all players with 37 points. Booker finished with 36 and Doncic wasn't far behind with 34 of his own.

The Suns won 130-126 and have won their last four-of-five games. They return to action for a Wednesday night battle against the Oklahoma City Thunder, where Durant will play in front of the Suns' home crowd for the first time.
