PHOENIX -- With their stars sitting the entire second half, another packed Footprint Center full of Phoenix Suns fans demanded the beloved Bol Bol enter the court in the fourth quarter of the team's win over the Portland Trail Blazers

After two separate chants from the crowd, Suns head coach Frank Vogel obliged:

Shortly after Bol checked into the game, he slammed home a dunk which set the home crowd into a frenzy. Bol was called for two fouls and the referee was jeered on both whistles.

On a team full of stars, it's been interesting to see Bol emerge as a Suns fan favorite. The memes have been hilarious since the team's Media Day.

Bol arrived as a free agent and isn't expected to see much action in a packed roster that features Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal in the starting lineup.

Previously in the offseason we spoke with The Magic Insider's Jeremy Brener, who said Phoenix was a great fit for Bol:

"I think Bol is going to learn a lot from Kevin Durant. Their bodies are so similar, and Durant has proven to be very durable over his career for the most part. Bol can't just magically turn into Durant; no one can. Fans shouldn't expect him to become KD-lite nor be surprised if this turns out to be a one-year stop in Bol's career," said Brener.

"The Suns added a lot of veteran players that have seen playoff action. Those are the ones who will round out the rotation in the playoffs. Bol Bol has to outplay a bunch of vets.

"That being said, he'll have some opportunity as the player with the most upside among Phoenix's transactions."

Bol at this point is still considered a project early in his career, though it's apparent the Suns' fan base has no problem with his presence in the Valley.
