Devin Booker Will Play in Suns-Cavs Matchup
PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns have missed Devin Booker the past four games with a sprained ankle, though they'll be getting him back tonight when the Cleveland Cavaliers play host at 4:30 PM Arizona time.
This was confirmed by the team on social media:
Vogel also told reporters before the game Booker would not be on a minutes restriction (via Duane Rankin).
Booker was initially labeled as probable. He missed Saturday's loss vs Boston after being questionable.
The Suns - sitting at 37-27 and the West's No. 6 seed - have less than 20 games left in the regular season and can use all the help they can get, though teammate Kevin Durant says the team shouldn't be in a rush to get Booker back despite wanting to improve their postseason seeding:
“Yeah, another guy that can create for himself and create for others. Phenomenal leader, someone that we look to all game. I am excited to get him back, but we definitely don’t want to rush him back," said Durant over the weekend.
"It is an important part of the season, and we need him to be as healthy as possible. If we can buy another couple hours, another couple days for him to get him right, we definitely could do that but we miss him out on the floor.”
This season, Booker earned an All-Star nod and is currently averaging 27.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 6.8 assists on nearly 50% shooting from the field.
Suns-Cavaliers will tip shortly.
