First Look at Kevin Durant in Suns Practice
Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant won't be hitting the court any time soon thanks to a sprained MCL suffered back in January that's expected to keep him out until the All-Star Break.
However, he is officially in the Valley and practicing with the team, as he was spotted going through some shooting drills by media during the open portion of practice today.
Durant was involved in one of the biggest trades in Suns franchise history, as he and TJ Warren were brought here in exchange for Cam Johnson, Mikal Bridges, four first-round picks and a pick swap in 2028.
It was an emotional departure for Bridges/Johnson, but it was understandable on their end.
"It’s KD, I get it," Bridges said after his first game in Brooklyn. "I would rather get traded for KD than someone I didn’t feel was good… It’s Kevin Durant. I would probably make that trade, too.”
Durant, widely considered to be one of the greatest scorers in NBA history, now enters a starting lineup that includes Chris Paul, Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton. Expectations are quite clear now in Phoenix: Larry O'Brien or bust.
