Humor: Social Media's Love/Hate With Devin Booker's Wholesome Playoff Moments
Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker has already accomplished a significant amount as his seventh season in the NBA begins to close.
While he continues the chase for that coveted ring he and everyone else in Phoenix desires, perhaps Booker might look to avoid adorable little faces that flock to the arena to watch him take flight on the court.
It all started in Game 2 of Phoenix's opening-round series with the New Orleans Pelicans. Early on, Booker sank a fadeaway buzzer-beater to end the first quarter. After watching the shot go in, a fan presented their baby in Booker's direction that quickly swept the internet.
Booker would later exit the game with a hamstring injury, and the Suns would ultimately lose Game 2 before wrapping up the series in six games. Booker would eventually recover and appear in the series-clinching 115-109 victory in New Orleans.
(Jokingly, of course) Suns fans were quick to blame Booker's misfortune on the small knuckles of the courtside baby.
Fast-forward to Friday night, where Booker was filmed spending time with center Deandre Ayton's son prior to Game 3 in their current series with the Dallas Mavericks.
The Suns would ultimately lose, as Booker and the rest of Phoenix's lineup played what felt like their most off-schedule brand of basketball in a 103-94 loss to the Mavericks. Turnovers were aplenty for the Suns, with Booker contributing five of his own and possessing a plus-minus of -12 when he was on the court, which tied for a team-low.
The Suns still remain up 2-1 in the series with plenty of basketball left to advance to the Western Conference Finals.
The sky isn't falling in Phoenix, but jokes were indeed flying when it comes to how cautious Booker should be around children moving forward.
How could society let this happen???
However, it's hard to resist wholesome content, especially with such a coveted person (on and off the court) such as Booker.
Will Booker continue to daringly push boundaries and continue to show love to toddlers? The Suns are here to win a championship, and will need every ounce of help on their way to climb the ladder.
Perhaps Booker isn't superstitious when it comes to fist-bumps, but rather a little stitious like the great Michael Scott.
Phoenix hopes there's plenty of more interactions like this on the horizon, as that would mean the team has advanced deeper into the playoffs as expected.
Maybe, just maybe, Ayton's son and the courtside baby can link sometime soon to combine their powers.
