PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns managed to find their winning mojo after a much-needed victory over the Houston Rockets last night, pushing their record back to .500 at 15-15 and temporarily steadying Frank Vogel's ship.

More good news could be on the way, as NBA insider Shams Charania revealed Beal could be back as soon as this weekend after spraining his ankle on Dec. 15. The Suns initially shelved Beal as out until January.

"I'm told he is progressing. He is ahead of schedule, and I'm told he could return as soon as this weekend. They play on Friday against Charlotte or Sunday against Orlando. Those games are within the window for Bradley Beal to make a return to the lineup," he said on Run it Back.

"They know he needs to be available, they know he needs to be motivated, they know he needs to be in the lineup and really embracing that hybrid point guard role they've set out for him. He needs to set the table for guys like Devin Booker and for Kevin Durant. Everything around this team was designed around this Big 3 and hopefully for the Suns they're getting closer to seeing that with those three being in the lineup."

Phoenix's trio of Beal, Durant and Booker have played just one game together, as all three stars have dealt with injuries to various degrees. Beal has played in just six games thus far after dealing with back problems at the start of the year.

The Suns also host the Los Angeles Clippers next Wednesday and the Miami Heat next Friday in their upcoming six-game homestand.
