Suns G Bradley Beal Injured vs Kings; Won't Return
PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns trail the Sacramento Kings 39-38 at the end of the first, and Bradley Beal is currently being evaluated for a hamstring injury according to the broadcast.
The Suns announced he will not return.
Beal has been dealing with a nasal fracture for weeks, though he's been listed on the injury report as available most nights while wearing a mask. He also dealt with a minor ankle injury last week.
With 7:21 left in the first, Beal exited the game and received treatment on the bench. It's unknown exactly what play he was injured on. He made both of his shots for a total of five points before departing.
Beal has battled the injury bug all season, dealing with lower back issues that caused him to miss significant time in preseason/early regular season action on top of the aforementioned ailments.
With both the Suns and Kings looking to climb up the Western Conference standings, tonight was a huge test for both sides.
“We’ll see, hopefully we are close to being a home court advantage team and the Kings have that ability too, but we don’t know where the standings will ultimately will lie and all these head-to-head matchups matter. So this a tie breaker game," Frank Vogel said prior to the game.
Eric Gordon and Josh Okogie will likely see an increase in minutes moving forward.
