The newest member of the Phoenix Suns has arrived.

Theo Maledon, the 34th overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft, has been claimed off of waivers by the Suns and signed to a two-way contract after being waived by the Charlotte Hornets' G-league affiliate on Thursday.

Maledon, a 6-foot-4 combo guard, spent two seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder and their G-league affiliate- the Oklahoma City Blue.

Maledon actually enjoyed one of the best games of his young career against Phoenix, scoring 33 points on April 2, 2021 at Footprint Center in a rookie season where he started 49 games.

He was traded to the Houston Rockets in the 2022 offseason before being picked up by the Charlotte Hornets and spending a year-plus there.

Maledon brings more ball-handling depth to the table, and has career averages of 7.9 points/2.8 rebounds/3 assists per game in 173 games.

Maledon is permitted to appear in 50 games under the CBA's two-way contract rules.

Maledon joins Saben Lee and Udoka Azubuike as members of the Suns currently under two-way deals.

The Suns have struggled of late, dropping 6 of their last 8, and are looking to get back on track tonight against the Washington Wizards
