Suns SG Devin Booker Shows Love to DeAndre Hopkins After Cardinals Departure
The Valley is full of stars from both past and present, but it's hard to think of a bigger name in the spotlight right now than Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker.
Booker has quickly earned his place among the team's greats and could very well finish as the No. 1 player in franchise history when all is said and done. Booker has been around for awhile, and he's seen stars both on and off the court come and go here in the desert.
So when the Arizona Cardinals decided to release DeAndre Hopkins yesterday, it was only natural for Booker to show some love on his Instagram page:
It's always nice to see two greats in the same town have that level of respect for each other.
The Suns are on the complete opposite trajectory of the Cardinals, and will also be under a new head coach similar to their gridiron counterparts after Monty Williams was relieved of his duties.
That was two weeks ago, and now there are reports suggesting the Suns could have their decision made by this weekend.
The Athletic's NBA insider Shams Charania initially reported five finalists made the cut to take over for Williams: Nick Nurse, Frank Vogel, Suns associate head coach Kevin Young, Doc Rivers, and Kings assistant Jordi Fernandez.
