There's been plenty of discussion surrounding Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant and his presence on the team, and rightfully so. The Suns are 3-0 since his return and look like a strong contender as the regular season comes to a conclusion.

Phoenix has seen plenty of great basketball in recent memory, and Durant's presence brings promise to not only add to that, but also make everybody else's job easier as well.

That includes shooting guard Devin Booker, who is the winner of the NBA's Western Conference Player of the Week award after scoring 30+ points in every game the Suns played this past week.

More from the team's press release:

"After leading the Suns to a perfect 3-0 record over the past week, Phoenix guard Devin Booker has been named the Western Conference Player of the Week for Feb 27-March 5, the NBA announced today.

"Booker averaged 36.0 points in the three games on 56.0% shooting (50.0% from three-point range), 7.7 assists and 5.3 rebounds and opened the week with 37 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in a 105-91 win at Charlotte. His 37 points tied as the second-most points scored by a Suns player over the Hornets in franchise history and with his fourth assist in the game, he surpassed Paul Westphal for seventh on the Suns’ all-time assists list.

"Booker followed-up his performance against the Hornets with 35 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds in a 21-point, 125-104, win at Chicago. He knocked down six three-pointers in the win to match his career high for triples in the regular season, which he’s now done 20 times. Booker concluded the week with 36 points on 60.0% shooting, 10 assists and 5 rebounds in the Suns’ win at Dallas on Sunday. The game marked his seventh-career regular season game with 35+ points and 10+ assists.

"Scoring 35+ points on at least 50% shooting in each of the three games over the week, Booker tied his own franchise record (now done three times) for consecutive games with such numbers. Additionally, he joined Giannis Antetokounmpo and Luka Dončić as the only players in the NBA this season with at least three-straight games of 35+ points on 50+ percent shooting, 5+ rebounds and 5+ assists.

"This marks Booker’s seventh career NBA Player of the Week honor and first of the season, as he was named Western Conference Player of the Month for October/November to begin the 2022-23 campaign. With his seven Conference Player of the Week awards, he now ties Steve Nash for the most Player of the Week nods in franchise history."

The Suns have two games this week, both of which are at home. Wednesday, the Suns welcome the Oklahoma City Thunder and Saturday awaits the Sacramento Kings.
