Suns Forward Kevin Durant Makes NBA All-Tournament Team

Kevin Durant can add another accolade to his resume.

PHOENIX -- Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant has already added a laundry list of accolades to his resume that will net him in the Basketball Hall of Fame once he hangs his shoes up for good, though he can add something the game's greats of the past couldn't: NBA In-Season Tournament honors.

Today, the NBA announced the All-Tournament Team for the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament:

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Tyrese Haliburton and LeBron James.

According to the NBA, the All-Tournament Team was selected by a media panel and based on player performance in both Group Play and the Knockout Rounds. Players were chosen without regard to position.

20 total media members were on the panel. Durant was the lone player out of the five to not have all 20 voters select him, walking away with seven votes - still good enough to land him on the list.

Durant's seven votes were good enough to beat out Brandon Ingram (4), Nikola Jokic (3), De'Aaron Fox (2), Damian Lillard (2), Jayson Tatum (1) and Myles Turner (1).

He averaged some pretty good numbers:

34.5 PTS

7.3 REB

6.8 AST

60.9 FG%

69.6 3PT%

The Suns advanced to the quarterfinals but lost to the eventual champion Los Angeles Lakers. Durant himself said he though LA would win it after knocking Phoenix out of the bracket.

"I'm gonna go with the Lakers since they beat us," Durant said.

"They got the size to compete with anybody. They got the quickest flight out of anybody. Most fans out of anybody, so it's set up for them to win. I can't wait to watch. The intensity of games has been incredible. Like I said, I wasn't a fan as they were forming this thing but now I'm a huge fan of the in-season [tournament], looking forward to watching it."

The Suns are currently 12-10 and will play the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday.
