Phoenix Suns G Devin Booker Finishes Fourth in NBA's MVP Voting
The official voting for the NBA's MVP award is out, and Denver Nuggets C Nikola Jokic has won it for a second consecutive season.
Jokic received 65 of 100 first-place votes, with Philadelphia 76ers C Joel Embiid (26) and Milwaukee Bucks F Giannis Antetokounmpo (9).
According to Bleacher Report's Timothy Rapp, the top three finalists all made separate cases to win the award.
- Jokic: 27.1 PPG, 13.8 RPG, 7.9 APG, 58.3 percent from the field, 33.7 percent from three
- Embiid: 30.6 PPG (tops in the NBA), 11.7 RPG, 4.2 APG, 1.5 BPG, 49.9 percent from the field, 37.1 percent from three, 11.8 free-throw attempts and 9.6 free throws made per game (both tops in the league)
- Antetokounmpo: 29.9 PPG, 11.6 RPG, 5.8 APG, 1.4 BPG, 55.3 percent from the field, 29.3 percent from three
As for Phoenix Suns G Devin Booker, he finished in fourth place among voters. Booker gained one second-place vote, eight votes for third place, 49 votes for fourth and 22 for fifth place.
His total of 216 points was well behind the top-three finalists.

Booker finished the regular season averaging a career-high 26.8 points per game on 46.6% shooting from the floor. He also had career-highs in rebounds (five per game) and steals (1.1 per contest).
Teammate Chris Paul also received two fifth-place votes in the final tally.
