Suns Get Much-Needed Help vs Knicks
PHOENIX -- Looking to rebound after a tough loss, the Phoenix Suns simply look to get healthy and get back in the win column.
They're getting back a big piece of help against the New York Knicks.
The Suns confirmed Grayson Allen would be available for tonight's game, marking his return from a short absence due to a groin strain suffered nearly two weeks ago.
"It definitely feels good to be back out there," Allen said at shootaround today. "I feel ready for tonight."
Allen was picked up in free agency over the summer and has been a surprisingly strong piece for Phoenix thanks to his shooting and spacing on the floor.
Allen started all 19 games he's played in thus far. Only Jusuf Nurkic (24) and Kevin Durant (20) have more starts. While Bradley Beal and Devin Booker dealt with their respective injuries, Allen (along with Eric Gordon) filled those voids in a major way.
Allen is currently averaging 12.3 points per night with 4.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists to pair. His 46.8% rate from three-point land sits only behind Drew Eubanks (a strong 100% success rate from the big man) and Durant (48.4%).
The Suns host New York later tonight at 8:00 PM Arizona time in what will be a nationally televised game on ESPN. They've lost their last five-of-seven games.
