Chris Paul: I Miss Jae Crowder
The Phoenix Suns and Jae Crowder may not be on the best of terms, but teammates surely miss his presence.
It's been a messy ride between Crowder and the Suns to say the least. The 32-year-old requested a trade out of Phoenix due to his starting role being taken away by Cam Johnson. Crowder then went on to tell Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes that the Suns blindsided him.
All of this drama has not stopped Chris Paul from talking about Crowder in a positive light.
“Jae, 9-9, I miss him,” Paul said in an AZCentral article. “I miss him. Ain’t no secret about it. That’s one of our brothers. Hope he good 9-9, you out there, hope you good, but it’s a business, it’s the league. It is what it is. That’s my dog for life. Regardless, whatever is going on. It’s always going to be love here with me and 9-9.”
Throughout his career, Crowder has always been known to be a high energy player who brings a unique spark to the locker room.
Paul wasn't the only player to recently speak on Crowder's absence. A few weeks ago Bridges said the following on Crowder's situation with the Suns:
"I texted him not too long ago and told him how much I miss him. That's my guy. It's the NBA. It happens. I know he wants to be here, but it's the league. That's just how it is sometimes. This is my fifth year in the league, and I understand how it could be. You've got to protect yourself sometimes. We'd love to have him here, but we get it."
It's been a painful situation for Crowder, his teammates and the entire Suns organization. While his time in Phoenix will never be forgotten, the right move for all parties involved is to trade Crowder and let him start fresh with a new team.
