The NBA schedule is expected to be fully released at some point within the next seven to ten days, though one NBA insider reports the NBA's opening night of festivities will feature the Phoenix Suns

The Athletic's Shams Charania is reporting the Suns will play on the road against the Golden State Warriors to begin the 2023-24 regular season. The Los Angeles Lakers will take on the Denver Nuggets that night - Oct. 24 - too.

"JUST IN: Opening Night schedule for the 2023-24 NBA season Oct. 24 on TNT, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium:

- Los Angeles Lakers @ Denver Nuggets

- Phoenix Suns @ Golden State Warriors"

It's been a fairly strong offseason for both Phoenix and Golden State, as each Pacific division team looks to reload after earlier than anticipated postseason exits.

The Suns perhaps made the most noise out of any team thus far with the addition of Bradley Beal and key signings in the free agency market to supply depth. They also fired head coach Monty Williams and hired Frank Vogel.

With Beal alongside Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, the Suns figure to be favorites to make a deep push in the West, if not appearing in the NBA Finals.

Golden State hopes to return to the championship level they've grown accustomed to, though they'll do it with majority of the same core. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson welcomed back Draymond Green after the big man temporarily hit free agency, and the Warriors also added former Suns guard Chris Paul in a trade with the Washington Wizards, exchanging him for Jordan Poole.

The league normally does a great job of piecing together great lineups on big days, and the rumored opening night schedule looks to be fantastic in both matchups.
