Suns Reveal Starters vs Kings
PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns look to find the win column (after a heartbreaking loss to the Golden State Warriors over the weekend) when they play host to the Sacramento Kings here shortly.
Suns coach Frank Vogel opted for the following starting lineup:
Devin Booker
Bradley Beal
Grayson Allen
Kevin Durant
Jusuf Nurkic
Only Beal (who is available with a nasal fracture) and Damion Lee (meniscus surgery) were on Phoenix's injury report released earlier today. Beal suffered the fracture weeks ago but has played with a protective mask and has powered through the injury after missing plenty of games earlier this season with back issues.
Beal revealed he could potentially have surgery over the All-Star break - which could see the guard miss time afterwards - though there's yet to be a decision made. Beal may also wait until after the season is over since he won't be in Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
The duo of Booker/Durant combined for 56 points in the loss at Golden State on Saturday, which saw Steph Curry drain a game-winning three-pointer with little time left on the clock. The Suns never trailed by more than seven and never led by more than five in the loss.
It will be interesting to see how Phoenix integrates the newly acquired Royce O'Neale, who landed in the desert via trade at last week's deadline as a strong wing player to be loaded in Vogel's rotation. He played 11 minutes vs Golden State.
Thaddeus Young was also signed today by Phoenix.
Opening tip is slated for just past 8:00 PM Arizona time.
