Suns Reveal Starters vs Knicks
PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns again are set to see their big three of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal together on the court as they play host to the New York Knicks.
Suns coach Frank Vogel opted for the following starting lineup:
Devin Booker
Bradley Beal
Grayson Allen
Kevin Durant
Jusuf Nurkic
This will be the second game Phoenix will have their star trio available after all dealt with various injury issues through the first quarter of the season.
Their debut came as a loss at the hands of the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. There's been plenty of questions as to Phoenix's ability to formulate chemistry on the court, and that's something Durant wasn't able to answer after their first game.
“Basketball is unpredictable, man. Who knows? You cannot pinpoint or give you an exact time on when we get it clicking. Basketball is an unpredictable sport, and anything can happen," he said following Wednesday.
"It can be tomorrow, or it could be two weeks from now. I know that we are going to come to work and try to figure it out the best that we can.”
The team revealed earlier Grayson Allen would be available after he's missed over a week with a groin injury. He's started in all 19 games he's played thus far and will again start tonight.
"Helps us on both sides of the ball. To have somebody with his shotmaking and playmaking on the backside... That's something that should help us," Vogel said.
Chimezie Metu started the previous two games and impressed in his time with the starting lineup, though the team opted for Allen.
Nassir Little is again available for Phoenix as he works through a nasal fracture. Josh Okogie is still out with a hip injury while Eric Gordon was initially considered questionable with lower leg soreness before he was confirmed to be out tonight.
The Suns hope to find the win column after dropping their last five-of-seven entering tonight. Opening tip between the Knicks-Suns will be just after 8:00 PM Arizona time.
