Report: Suns Signing G League's Saben Lee to 10-Day Contract
Help is on the way for the Phoenix Suns, even if it's for a short amount of time.
The Suns are reportedly signing G League guard Saben Lee to a 10-day contract according to NBA insider Shams Charania.
Lee (who played at Corono del Sol in Tempe) initially entered the league as a second-round pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and has played a total of 87 NBA games with the Detroit Pistons and Philadelphia 76ers.
In that time, he averaged 5.5 points-2.1 rebounds-3.3 assists per night in 16 minutes averaged each game.
In late November, Lee signed with the 76ers before being waived on Dec. 26. He's spent most of his season with the Raptors 906 of the G-League. He made All-NBA G League Second Team honors last year.
The Suns will welcome any help possible with names such as Devin Booker, Landry Shamet, Cam Payne and Chris Paul missing action.
In their win over the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, they only had nine available players.
Teams can sign a player up to two ten-day contracts in a season. After that, they must either release him or sign him to the roster for the rest of the year. 10-day contracts only became available for teams to utilize starting this last week.
The Suns ended a six-game losing streak with a win on Monday and hope to continue their winning ways against the Denver Nuggets tonight.
