Zach LaVine Open to Joining Suns Rival
PHOENIX -- While the Phoenix Suns simply try to get their own stars healthy and on the court, one division rival could see the talents of Chicago Bulls stud Zach LaVine join their backcourt.
The Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Lakers have been heavy teams monitoring the situation in Chicago as the Bulls continue to rebuild and LaVine very well could be on his way out.
There's plenty of connections to believe LaVine to Los Angeles makes sense, with most connecting the dots of LaVine's Klutch Sports representation heavily tied to LA's LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
The Lakers appear to be a public favorite to land LaVine, though one NBA insider says don't discount Sacramento.
From The Athletic's Sam Amick:
"For all the public focus on the prospect of James and Davis teaming up with LaVine with the Lakers, the overlooked part is that Kings star De’Aaron Fox is a major priority for Klutch Sports these days as well. Per league sources, LaVine would be very amenable to a Sacramento move that would make him Fox’s backcourt mate."
Fellow NBA insider Jake Fischer previously signed off on the Kings emerging as a real possibility for LaVine, who hasn't played since Nov. 28 with a foot injury:
"There are several other contending situations LaVine would welcome joining, sources said, one being Sacramento. The Kings signed LaVine to an offer sheet during his restricted free agency in 2018, albeit before this present front office regime took the reins in Northern California," Fischer wrote.
Along with the Lakers/Kings, the Philadelphia 76ers are another team in the mix for LaVine's services.
