PHOENIX -- Another night in New Orleans, another supreme performance from Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker.

Booker's 52 points at Smoothie King Center last night helped the Suns claim victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, keeping themselves in the hunt for a top-six playoff seed while also gaining the season series tiebreaker over the Pelicans with the victory.

Booker became the second player in NBA history with 50+ points in three straight games against any opponent. Wilt Chamberlain is the only other player to accomplish such a feat.

“Something about playing in this building against this opponent. He just really has a comfort zone here and I know there’s all  kinds of stats about what has or hasn’t been done, but to see a guy go for 50 (points), three straight times against a single  opponent in the same building it just shows what kind of special player he is, it’s really unbelievable," Frank Vogel said of Booker following the win.

“He was in attack mode everywhere, there was spaces at the three-point line, he was looking to rise up and when  there’s an avenue to the lane he was like I said he was going to get to the rim or the free throw line, so he was doing it all.”

Booker reached a regular season career-high seven three-pointers, surpassing his previous high of six (which was done 26 times previously):

“It’s like déjà vu. As it is happening, I couldn’t believe he was doing it again, you look up and he already has 20 points in the  first quarter," said Kevin Durant. "What I loved about it was the flow of the game, pin downs, catch and shoot, one dribble pullup, layups. That’s a  sign of a worldly scorer when you can do it in an offense like that.”

Booker himself also touched on the accomplishment:

“I don’t really have an answer. I feel like I’m playing the same way. The crib is close. I have a lot of family in attendance. I grew  up coming here. This is the first NBA arena I’ve been to…feels like home.”

The Suns are back in action on Wednesday as the Cleveland Cavaliers pay visit to Footprint Center.
