Video: Suns Fans Welcome Devin Booker Back From Injury
Phoenix Suns shooting guard strained his groin on Christmas Day against the Denver Nuggets and missed nearly 30 games before coming back last Tuesday against the Brooklyn Nets.
The Suns managed to stay afloat without Booker in the lineup, yet there's no doubting his presence will be needed should Phoenix want to build themselves into the contenders they believe themselves to be.
Booker hasn't played at home since Dec. 17 against the New Orleans Pelicans, and tonight was nearly two months since the home crowd at the Footprint Center saw him play.
The fans made him (again) feel right at home during pre-game introductions:
Since his return, Booker has put up point totals of 19 and 21 on a minutes restriction.
Phoenix now looks to be on the rise after initially struggling after the New Year. Part of that can be attributed to the acquisition of Kevin Durant:
"You can't put it into words, man," Suns guard Devin Booker said. "It's just all feeling. Looking forward to post-All-Star break when we actually get the chance to compete with each other. I've never gotten to do that besides the Olympics with Kev [Durant], so it's exciting times around here."
At halftime of the Suns-Kings game, Booker has 14 points, three rebounds and two assists.
