Injury Report: Gilgeous-Alexander Remains Out as OKC Continues to Look for a Win
Oklahoma City will once again face a crucial game against a team just ahead of them in the Western Conference on Friday.
The Thunder are still searching for their first win after the All-Star Break as the team has dropped five straight close games to begin the final quarter of the season. This post-break stint hasn’t been kind to OKC between struggles of key starters and the injuries of Kenrich Williams and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Williams will miss the remainder of the season for the Thunder due to a wrist injury that will require surgery. Gilgeous-Alexander has dealt with both ankle soreness, an abdominal injury and most recently has been in health and safety protocols. SGA remains out for the game on Friday night.
The Thunder overperformed predictions prior to the All-Star Break, but have struggled to find the win column recently. The Thunder have dropped to 13th in the Western Conference, and are now 2.5 games out of the play-in game.
The Jazz enter the game climbing up to the ninth spot in the Western Conference and winning two of their three games. They are however missing Colling Sexton and Jordan Clarkson for the game on Friday night.
The game is important for both the teams as the Jazz look to continue to climb in the playoff race, and the Thunder are looking to stop the losing skid.
Here are the most recent injury reports for both squads entering tonight:
Oklahoma City Thunder:
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Out: Abdominal Strain/ Health and Safety Protocols
