Injury Report, Updated Odds (1/11): Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Portland Trail Blazers
After taking two straight road losses, the Oklahoma City Thunder spent the last half of its trip recapturing momentum. They've won two straight games against the Washington Wizards and Miami Heat.
Now, the Thunder returns home to host the Portland Trail Blazers in one of the team's three home games for the month of January. It was always going to be a tough month for the Thunder, but they sit at the No. 2 seed while being half of a game behind the No. 1 seeded Minnesota Timberwolves.
With two straight wins and having recaptured momentum, the Thunder hosts the Trail Blazers who have lost four of their last five games.
Injury Report
Thunder:
Keyontae Johnson, Available (G League)
Trail Blazers:
Deandre Ayton, Doubtful (Knee)
Moses Brown, OUT (Wrist)
Jabari Walker, Questionable (Knee)
Robert Williams, OUT (Knee)
It's worth noting that not only do the Thunder not have any injuries still, they don't even have G League absences. Coming off the road games and the first night of the back-to-back, there's a chance Ousmane Dieng could actually be a key contributor in this game after recent good form with the Oklahoma City Blue.
The Trail Blazers are going to be thin at the big man position, which plays into the Thunder's strengths.
Updated Odds
This is a game the Thunder should be able to win, despite coming off the first night of a back-to-back and having had to travel back to Oklahoma City overnight. The oddsmakers agree as the Thunder is a 12.5-point favorite in this one.
The Trail Blazers are 10-26 and struggle on the road while the Thunder has been an incredible home team and is just half a game behind the No. 1 seed. It's hard to imagine the Thunder doesn't show out a bit in front of its home crowd after four games on the road, meaning they could cover the spread in this one.
