Injury Report, Updated Odds (1/13): Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Orlando Magic
The Oklahoma City Thunder looks to win a fourth straight game as they host the Orlando Magic in their second straight home game. The Magic is coming off a loss just last night to the Miami Heat, whereas the Thunder has finally had a chance to breathe and get a days rest in Oklahoma City.
While the Thunder has been a premier team in the league when playing at home, the Magic has subsequently struggled while playing on the road. This matchup and situation doesn't bode as well for the Magic as they stand at No. 8 in the Eastern Conference with a 21-17 record.
The Thunder, with a win, would once again tie the Minnesota Timberwolves for the top seed in the Western Conference. They hoist a 26-11 record on the season.
Injury Report
Thunder:
No injuries to report.
Magic:
Wendell Carter Jr., OUT (Knee)
Markelle Fultz, OUT (Knee)
Gary Harris, OUT (Calf)
Kevon Harris, OUT (G League)
Jett Howard, OUT (G League)
Joe Ingles, OUT (Ankle)
Franz Wagner, OUT (Ankle)
Coming off a day of rest and playing in their second straight home game, it's no surprise the Thunder has a clean injury report. This continues to be a trend for the team.
The Magic is littered with injuries that will see plenty of key contributors miss the game. This leaves a heavy burden on players like Paolo Banchero and Jalen Suggs for the Magic.
Updated Odds
Heading into the matchup, the Thunder is an 11.5-point favorite. This is coming off a 62-point win where the Thunder was also double-digit favorites over the Portland Trail Blazers.
A common theme for the Thunder this season has been taking care of business in games they're expected to, so it'll be interesting if they're able to do so again. If they were fully healthy, the Magic would be expected to put up a much, much bigger fight in this one.
