Injury Report, Updated Odds (1/20): Oklahoma City Thunder at Minnesota Timberwolves
After snapping a two-game skid, the Oklahoma City Thunder travels to Minnesota to take on the Timberwolves. For the Thunder, this is a huge game. With a 28-13 record, they're currently the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference. They sit just two games behind the Timberwolves, who are the No. 1 seed.
While the Thunder has had a rocky road trip, they got on the right side of the win column against a hot Utah Jazz team. Now, they're taking on a hot Timberwolves team that has won four straight games.
The season series is split 1-1 with two more games remaining, including tonight.
Injury Report
Thunder:
Ousmane Dieng, OUT (G League)
Lu Dort, Available
Timberwolves:
Jaylen Clark, OUT (Achilles)
Leonard Miller, OUT (G League)
Josh Minott, OUT (G League)
For the Thunder, Dort's return is huge. He was out for their last game in Utah, and while it didn't impact that game, his services will be much needed as they take on the Timberwolves. With his stout on-ball defense, he will be tasked to guard Anthony Edwards, who is having an incredible season.
There are no real injuries that will swing the way this game is going to go, and the two teams are seeing each other mostly healthy.
Updated Odds
Traveling to a tough environment, the Thunder is a 3.5-point underdog to the Timberwolves. Again, this is the top team in the Western Conference that the Thunder is facing on the road.
On the season, the Timberwolves have been incredible on their home floor, posing a 17-2 record in the Target Center. For the Thunder, they're 12-8 on road games with a bulk of those road losses coming this month.
With the Timberwolves streaking as of late and the Thunder in the fourth game of their road trip, this game certainly favors the Timberwolves, which is reflected in the betting odds.
