The Oklahoma City Thunder is in Lu Dort's hometown of Montreal as it gears up for its second preseason matchup. This time, the Thunder is taking on the Detroit Pistons. While the Thunder continue to prepare for a big season, they take on the Pistons, who are in a similar position as they will let their young core declare themselves.

Like the Thunder, the Pistons have a deep level of talent and have a variety of guys that can really play and will provide a good preseason test. This could be a fun one in Montreal depending on how much each team's starters will play.

Injury Report:

Thunder:

Davis Bertans, OUT (healthy scratch)

Jaylin Williams, OUT (healthy scratch)

Aaron Wiggins, OUT (healthy scratch)

Tre Mann, OUT (calf contusion)

Aleksej Pokusevski, OUT (ankle sprain)

Victor Oladipo, OUT (knee)

Pistons:

Jalen Duren, OUT (ankle)

Cade Cunningham, OUT (quad contusion)

Takeaways:

With Jaylin Williams, Aaron Wiggins and Davis Bertans all being healthy scratches, this sends out the signal that the Thunder might like what they have in those three guys, and are opening up playing time for two-way guys and other players fighting for roster spots.

Also, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Vasilije Micic, who both missed the preseason opener against the San Antonio Spurs, will both be active and making their debuts tonight. This will be Micic's first time playing with the Thunder.

Updated Odds:

For the second preseason game in a row, the Thunder is preseason favorites. They're 5.5-point favorites over the Pistons, which makes sense as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, an All-Star and First Team All-NBA guard, is returning to the lineup alongside the talented starting lineup that shined on Monday against the Spurs.

Though betting lines don't hold much weight for preseason, the odds are indicative of what the Thunder will see for the first time in a while -- being favorites over plenty of teams that they are better than, rather than being consistent underdogs.
