Injury Report, Updated Odds (11/14): Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs
The Oklahoma City Thunder is hitting the national stage once again, though this time there is much more of a narrative surrounding the game. With the San Antonio Spurs making their way to OKC, the first regular season battle between Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama will commence.
The NBA is pushing this rivalry to be a real thing -- going as far as scheduling the two teams during rivalry week. The Thunder playing on national TV will be interesting, especially as they've won their last two games and have the potential to keep building a winning streak.
On the other hand, the Spurs are 3-7 and have been struggling as of late, losing each of their last five games. With the Thunder taking on the Spurs at home, they should be able to take care of business.
Injury Report:
Thunder:
Ousmane Dieng, OUT (G League)
Keyontae Johnson, OUT (G League)
Olivier Sarr, OUT
Spurs:
Charles Bediako, OUT (G League)
Sidy Cissoko, OUT (G League)
Blake Wesley, OUT (G League)
Keldon Johnson, OUT (knee)
Tre Jones, OUT (hamstring)
Sandro Mamukelashvili, OUT (back)
Jeremy Sochan, Available (adductor)
There's an obvious player missing from the injury report, which is a good thing. Kenrich Williams is set to make his return after missing a month from the basketball court with back spasms.
With the Thunder sitting at 6-4 on the season, Williams comes back at a good time. They've struggled on the boards, something Williams will help with as he provides a big spark and plenty of effort in that aspect of the game. Also, his calming veteran presence will be needed as the Thunder hit the big stage.
For the Spurs, they could be without a good portion of their rotation, which would hurt them quite a bit. Without Johnson playing, they'll be taking a hit defensively and will be missing Jones' playmaking abilities.
Updated Odds:
Heading into this matchup, the Thunder is a 9.5-point favorite. This likely has something to do with the Spurs potentially missing three pieces of their rotation and the line could see a change if those guys are ruled healthy enough to play by tipoff.
