Injury Report, Updated Odds (11/8): Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
The Oklahoma City Thunder is set to return to action in the Paycom Center against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The two teams will square for the second and final time this season.
For the Thunder, the team has the opportunity to defeat the Cavaliers and win the season series 2-0. They're coming off an impressive win over the Atlanta Hawks, who entered the matchup as the second-best offense in the NBA.
The 3-4 Cavaliers are coming off a win over Golden State at home, so both teams are riding a bit of momentum coming into this one.
Injury Report:
Thunder:
Luguentz Dort, AVAILABLE (hip)
Ousmane Deing, AVAILABLE (wrist)
Kenrich Williams, OUT (back)
Keyontae Johnson, OUT (G League)
Cavaliers:
Emoni Bates, OUT (G League)
Ty Jerome, OUT (ankle)
Sam Merrill, OUT (illness)
Isaac Okoro, OUT (knee)
Ricky Rubio, OUT (not with team)
Isaiah Mobley, OUT (G League)
The Thunder missing Lu Dort in this one would be huge. Both Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell will be a go. The last time these two teams squared off, Mitchell was incredible and not having Dort would hurt the Thunder. Adding Garland to the mix this time will make things, tougher, too.
If Dort does miss the game, Cason Wallace will likely get the start and matchup on one of Garland or Mitchell. It'd be a great game of gaining experience for the 20-year-old rookie in that facet.
Ousmane Dieng's wrist injury is also unfortunate, as Dieng has played a legitimate role off the bench and is typically one of the first few guys off the bench.
Updated Odds:
Cleveland enters Oklahoma City as a 2.5-point favorite. For the Thunder, they're familiar with being underdogs. It's a tight spread, which makes sense given the nature of the last game. It could be a similar game that comes down to the wire once again.
