Injury Report, Updated Odds (3/26): Oklahoma City Thunder at New Orleans Pelicans
After a blowout, embarrassing loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, the Oklahoma City Thunder is facing an opportunity to bounce back as they take on the New Orleans Pelicans on the road. The Pelicans are a rising team, but the Thunder needs to bounce back to gain some ground on the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.
As things stand, the Thunder is tied with the Denver Nuggets at 21 losses – the least in the conference – but they have two less wins with some ground to gain.
For the Pelicans, they’ve made their way to the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference, though the middle of the playoff race is quite tight. In the standings, both teams could benefit in a big way from a victory in this contest.
Injury Report
Thunder:
Ousmane Dieng, OUT (G League)
Adam Flagler, OUT (G League)
Keyontae Johnson, OUT (G League)
Pelicans
Brandon Ingram, OUT (Knee)
Dyson Daniels, OUT (G League)
Malcolm Hill, OUT (G League)
E.J. Liddell, OUT (G League)
Dereon Seabron, OUT (G League)
Cody Zeller, Available (Face)
The Pelicans will certainly miss the impact of Brandon Ingram, though they have enough depth to make up for some of the production he provides the team. For the Thunder, Ingram is a killer in their matchups. He seems to get hot and make shots over any level of contest from teh defense, so it's a bit of a break he isn't active for this one.
Outside of Ingram, there isn't anything notable on the report. The Thunder remains a healthy team, which is invaluable with the playoffs just around the corner.
Updated Odds
On the road, coming off a loss, the Thunder is a 1.5-point favorite. It'll be a close one, but it's a game Oklahoma City needs to close out. A win would be huge for them after a blowout loss, then they'll return home to play a pair of games for an East Coast trip.
