Injury Report, Updated Odds (3/31): Oklahoma City Thunder at New York Knicks
The Oklahoma City Thunder hits the road for an East Coast trip, which kicks off in the Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks. Fresh off a big win, the Thunder has an opportunity to beat a good team to get the road trip off to a solid start.
As things stand, the Thunder is tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. On the other hand, the Knicks are the No. 4 seed in the East with the potential to jump to the third seed soon.
This game could be a big win for whichever team comes out on top in terms of seeding.
Injury Report
Thunder:
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Questionable (Quad)
Lindy Waters, OUT (G League)
Olivier Sarr, OUT (G League)
Keyontae Johnson, OUT (G League)
Adam Flagler, OUT (G League)
Ousmane Dieng, OUT (G League)
Knicks:
Isaiah Hartenstein, Probable (Wrist)
Alecs Burks, Probable (Shoulder)
Mitchell Robinson, Questionable (Ankle)
Julius Randle, OUT (Shoulder)
With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander being questionable, it wouldn’t be a shock for him to be upgraded to active. Even if not, being upgraded to questionable from doubtful is a good sign for Gilgeous-Alexander’s health moving forward.
Outside of the Thunder superstar, the team only has inactives because of G League designations.
For the Knicks, being without Randle and potentially Hartenstein certainly hurts them, but they’ll be otherwise healthy for the contest.
Updated Odds:
After starting off as a short 2.5-point favorite, the Thunder is a 1.5-point underdog on the road. They took the first battle, which was played in the Paycom Center, but playing in the Garden — potentially without Gilgeous-Alexander — will be a tall task for the Thunder.
If the Thunder can get the same play they’ve gotten from Josh Giddey as of late, this game could shape up to be a close, entertaining matchup.
