NBA Looking Into Social Media Allegations of OKC Thunder Guard Josh Giddey

The NBA is investigating social media allegations of Oklahoma City guard Josh Giddey that emerged over the last few days.

Per multiple reporters, including The Athletic's Shams Charania and ESPN's Tim McMahon, the NBA is looking into allegations that Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey has been involved in an inappropriate relationship with an underage girl.

The league is looking into allegations that Thunder guard Josh Giddey has been involved in an improper relationship with an underage girl, an NBA spokesman said. Giddey and OKC coach Mark Daigneault declined to comment on the matter after practice today.

The allegations surfaced on social media early Thursday morning.

Giddey was made available to the media at practice on Friday, and when asked of the situation said, "Yeah, I mean, I understand the question obviously, but there's no further comment right now."

On a follow up question, Giddey said "I get the question, guys, I completely understand you guys want to know about it, but just for right now I don't have anything to say."

Head coach Mark Daigneault was also asked, stating "Personal matter, and I have no comment on it."

The Thunder next play the Philadelphia 76ers at 4 p.m. on Sunday. To this point, Giddey's status regarding the game remains unchanged.
