WATCH: Kyrie Irving Game-Winner Helps OKC Thunder in West Battle

Kyrie Irving dropped off a game-winner to push the Dallas Mavericks past the Denver Nuggets, giving OKC a boost in the Western Conference Standing.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are sitting atop the Western Conference by a half a game thanks to an epic comeback by the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday over the Denver Nuggets.

In a game that featured 13 lead changes, nine ties and the Mavericks blowing a 13-point fourth-quarter lead.

Kyrie Irving earned the night with 24 points, nine assists, seven rebounds, three steals and a block. None more important than his left-handed floater at the buzzer to dethrone the reigning NBA Champions. His co-star Luka Doncic dropped a typical 37 points, nine rebounds and three assists.

With this win, the OKC Thunder gain a bit of separation from the Nuggets for the top seed in the Western Conference while it is only a half a game in the ledger, Oklahoma City Thunder owns the tiebreaker over the Nuggets putting them an entire game and a half up on their divisional foes.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have to take advantage of this stretch of games seeing the Jazz come to town on Wednesday before bolting North of the border to take on the Raptors on Friday.

The Denver Nuggets will take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday in a battle of the second and third-place Western Conference teams with one having to lose. With the Mavericks narrowly ousting the Nuggets, it gives the Thunder the inside lane to finish the season first in the West.
