The Thunder will be well represented on Friday night at the Rising Stars event. With three participants, the Oklahoma City crew split up as part of the Rising Stars draft. Team Jalen Rose scooped up Holmgren and Williams, while Wallace went to Team Pau Gasol.

Tonight, they will battle as part of the tournament-style rising stars challenge that features a G League squad headed up by Detlef Schrempf as the coach, who will battle with Tamika Catchings, Jalen Rose, and Pau Gasol's squads.

This afternoon, the Rising Stars met with the media ahead of practice, where Cason Wallace was asked about teaming up with Victor Wembanyama on Team Pau.

"I like to throw lobs, I am going to see how high he can get," the Thunder rookie season who goes from playing with Chet Holmgren to playing with Victor Wembanyama, two of the best rising lob threats in the NBA.

When Jalen Williams was asked if he gave any advice to Wallace ahead of this event he said "No, he is not on my team" with a smile, enjoying the fact the two have a chance of matching up against each other in the title game of tonight's tournament.

While the two joke about being rivals for the next few hours, Wallace was quick to point out that it means a lot to him to have so many Thunder representatives here, and "It shows how good of a team we are," when asked what it meant to enjoy this weekend with his teammates.
