OKC Thunder: Superatar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's NBA 2K24 Rating Revealed
The rollout for the next installment in the NBA 2K franchise is starting to gain steam ahead of it's Sep. 8 release date, which means it is time for ratings of its players to be released.
The 2K rating holds a lot of weight in the basketball community. Players do take it seriously and use it as fuel to improve and raise their rating throughout the season. It can also be pretty controversial amongst fans, as debates ensue about who should have a higher rating than who.
One of the first players to have their rating released is none other than Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, receiving an impressive 93 overall.
The rating seems to be pretty fair for a player coming off a 30+ points per game and top 5 MVP candidate season. A 93 will put him as one of the 15 best players in the entire game, which correlates to his ranking in real life.
It is also a big jump from his original 2K23 rating, which was only an 88. However, by the end of the NBA 2K23 cycle Gilgeous-Alexander was rated at a 94.
Gilgeous-Alexander's 2K24 rating was released alongside a few other guards, including Donovan Mitchell, Jaylen Brown and Jamal Murray, and he was the highest rated out of the group.
The only other guards who have been announced that are rated ahead of Gilgeous-Alexander are Devin Booker, Damian Lillard, Luka Doncic and Stephen Curry.
The rest of the Oklahoma City Thunder roster's ratings have not been released as of yet, but likely will in the coming weeks leading up to 2K24's release.
Gilgeous-Alexander has yet to comment on his rating, and while it is a respectable ranking, he will surely strive to raise it by the end of the 2K24 cycle.
