Thunder Gameday: OKC Seeks to Replicate its Double-Digit Victory over Golden State Again on Saturday

Following Oklahoma City's win over a Stephen Curry-less Golden State team on Thursday night, the Thunder look to mirror its performance against the Warriors again on Saturday night.

The Thunder now sit with an 8-4 record after winning three in a row — the last coming in a 128-109 win over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday — finding themselves at No. 5 in the Western Conference.

In that game, Golden State competed without its superstar guard Stephen Curry as well as without a suspended Draymond Green.

Now, Curry is actively listed as questionable for Saturday night's game, but Green must sit for the next four contests.

Oklahoma City was proficient from 3-point distance in the two teams' matchup two days ago, shooting 59.4% from outside on the night.

The chemistry was evident and the offense was flowing smoothly, garnering 31 assists as a team, and helped post a dominating win before staying in Golden State to play them again on Saturday.

Odds:

The Thunder enter the day as 4.5-point favorites against the Warriors, and the over/under is 230.5.

Keys to the Game:

With Curry listed as questionable this time around, the game will be entirely different if the two-time MVP finds his rhythm and help the Warriors improve upon their 14-for-41 3-point shooting night on Thursday.

Rebounding will be a huge key once again, and the Thunder did a fair job last time around with every man who played — 11 of them — tallying at least two or more boards, with Chet Holmgren snagging 10.

And while they still lost the rebounding battle by seven, it was a distributed effort which helped mitigate Golden State's rebounding success.

Efficiency has been key so far for Oklahoma City. 50.6% from the field, 59.4% from three and 91.3% from the free throw line against the Warriors was key to extending its lead and maintaining it through the fourth.

Isaiah Joe would love to build off hitting seven threes from that contest and ending with 23 points, as well as Cason Wallace with his 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting.

This will be the third of four contests on the season between Golden State and Oklahoma City.

Records:

Oklahoma City Thunder (8-4) vs. Golden State Warriors (6-7)

Final Word:

Oklahoma City will have a chance to get its' leg up on Golden State in the series at 2-1 if they take the victory again on Saturday.

With the way the Thunder competed on Thursday night, it's feasible to see them winning again even if Curry is available.

But at the same time, head coach Mark Daigneault will have to read and react to the adjustments Golden State head coach Steve Kerr will make.

Next, Oklahoma City will take on the Portland Trailblazers completing a back-to-back on Sunday at 8 p.m. CT.
