Thunder Gameday: Oklahoma City Seeking Revenge Against Rockets

Can the Thunder get a win against Houston following a poor showing earlier in the week?

For the second time this week, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets will take the floor against each other.

Wednesday’s contest resulted in a Houston win, as OKC played one of the worst games it had all season. Can the Thunder turn things around, or will the Rockets win their fifth-straight game in this head-to-head matchup?

Keep in mind, the Rockets will be on the second night of a back-to-back in this game following a loss to the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.

ODDS:

The Thunder enter the day as 8-point favorites against the Rockets, and the total over/under is 232.5 points.

KEYS TO THE GAME:

In the contest earlier this week, Houston simply gave more effort than Oklahoma City. When it came to hustle plays, rebounding and aggressiveness, the Thunder were outmatched.

Even though OKC has been a much better team this season, it goes beyond the talent on the floor to get wins in the NBA. The Thunder need to come out differently this time around.

Given it’s the second game in as many days for the Rockets, it will be interesting to see who is active in tonight’s contest. Houston has been dealing with several injuries, but has found ways to be competitive nonetheless.

This will be Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's first game since being announced as an NBA All-Star.
