On Tuesday, the 41-player pool that will be used to select the 12-player roster for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris was released.

While the Thunder have plenty of international talent — including superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luguentz Dort, Josh Giddey and more — they did have one name on the list.

Chet Holmgren, a Minnesota native in the midst of a strong Rookie of the Year campaign, made the cut.

At just 21-years-old, Holmgren has been a revelation for the Thunder this season, providing three-level scoring on the offensive end with patented, game-altering defense.

On the season, the former Gonzaga Bulldog is averaging 17.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.5 blocks per game, shooting 54% overall and just shy of 39% from beyond the arc.

More importantly, his impact has led to a revival of Thunder success, with the team just half a game back from No. 1 in the Western Conference nearing the halfway mark of the 2023-24 season.

Holmgren was the only rookie to make the cut, and was just one of three players to make it without three-plus years of NBA experience, the others being Paolo Banchero and Walker Kessler.

Other notable inclusions to the list were LeBron James, Joel Embiid, Jimmy Butler, Devin Booker, Steph Curry, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Damian Lillard, Donovan Mitchell, Chris Paul, Jayson Tatum and Trae Young.
