The Oklahoma City Thunder is one of the most uniquely built teams, and the on-court system matches it. The parity of talent on the court allows for the Thunder to play in such a selfless way, allowing for any player to get on the court and make a real impact.

This is the reason two ball-dominant guards like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey were able to thrive alongside each other, as well as their ability to buy into the system. This allows for a variety of players to take on different roles on a nightly basis.

It's no secret that Gilgeous-Alexander -- coming off an All-NBA First Team and All-Star appearance -- will be the leading scorer and shooting the most shots for the Thunder on the season, but who will be the number two guy?

Of course, Giddey, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren will be the three likely guys. On occasion, Lu Dort will play the role, given he will play with the other four and will have little pressure defensively. Only this time, it won't be forced, it'll be a natural part of the game, and that's what makes the system unique.

For now, it seems like Williams is the likely No. 2 scorer. In the second half of his rookie season, he proved what level of a scorer he can be in the league, and this naturally compliments the game of the other three stars.

Holmgren and Giddey will also play into the role on nights when Williams isn't getting his shots. Again, what's unique about the system is that each night, the totem pole of scorers will be decided on what the defense is giving them. So, it won't matter who the second option is, given that it'll fluctuate across the year and will change depending on what the defense is giving them.
