Ahead of the Timberwolves' 101-90 win over the Jazz, Chris Finch says the team will reevaluate star guard Anthony Edwards' injury Friday, but he doesn't feel like it's a long term injury.

Edwards missed Thursday night's game after injuring his hip on a hard fall in the third quarter of the team's 106-103 win Tuesday against the Thunder.

After laying on the court for a few moments, Edwards was able to get up and shoot free throws before eventually being taken out of the game. The 22-year-old was diagnosed with a hip pointer injury Wednesday.

Finch hasn't yet ruled Edwards out of Saturday's game against the Charlotte Hornets, though an extra four days of rest before Wednesday's home game against San Antonio could also be considered.

Edwards has now missed just 14 games in throughout his three-plus seasons in the league, with the Wolves going 10-4 in those games. The fourth-year guard currently leads the team in points (26.2) and minutes (35.1) per game while contributing 5.0 assists per game.

After Thursday's win the team now heads out for Saturday's trip to take on the (5-11) Hornets. The Wolves' next three opponents all have losing records, possibly giving the team time to let Edwards recover and not force a quick return.
