Karl-Anthony Towns questionable for Saturday's game against Lakers

Towns was listed as questionable for the Wolves' previous two games but played in both.

The Timberwolves have listed Karl-Anthony Towns as questionable with left knee soreness for Saturday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

It’s the third straight game ahead of which Towns has been listed as questionable since missing last Saturday’s game in Sacramento. He has played in the two games since then despite the designation; Towns had 16 points and six rebounds in Tuesday’s loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, and he had 10 points and eight rebounds in Thursday’s win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Wolves coach Chris Finch said ahead of Thursday’s game that Towns didn’t quite look like himself in Tuesday’s loss to the Thunder but wasn’t sure whether that was because of the injury or a product of the entire team’s struggles throughout the game.

Towns is averaging 21.6 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists for the Wolves this season.

Tipoff for Saturday’s game against the Lakers at Target Center is slated for 7 p.m.
