Patrick Beverley says Marcus Morris 'leaning towards' signing with Wolves

Patrick Beverley reports Morris could sign with Minnesota

Patrick Beverley broke the news last Thursday that he had been traded the 76ers to the Bucks and now Beverley is reporting that his former Philadelphia teammate Marcus Morris is "leaning towards" signing with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Morris and Beverley played together in Philadelphia before both were traded ahead of last week's NBA trade deadline. Morris was traded from the Sixers to the Pacers and then dealt by Indiana to the Spurs before being bought out. He's now free to scout the league and sign with a contender.

Morris is averaging 6.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per game this season and has been in-and-out of the lineup over the past month due to a foot injury. He is shooting 43% from the field, 40% from three, and 86% from the free-throw line. .

The Houston Rockets drafted Morris with the 14th overall pick in 2011. He's played for seven teams in his career, averaging 12.1 point and 4.5 rebounds per game while shooting 43% from the field.

The Timberwolves are in action Monday at 9:30 p.m. against the Los Angeles Clippers.
