Trail Blazers News: How To Watch Scoot Henderson In All-Star Rising Stars Event

Two young Portland stars suit up tonight in Indiana.

Your Portland Trail Blazers may not have any All-Stars suiting up in Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the All-Star Game on Sunday, but they do have some representation tonight, for the hilariously-titled 2024 Panini Rising Stars event.

Rookie Portland point guard Scoot Henderson, the third pick in the 2023 draft out of the G League Ignite, and second-year Trail Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe, the No. 6 pick in the 2022 draft out of Duke, were both been earmarked partake in tonight's festivities. Young players from the NBA and the G League have been divided into four different teams, coached by former NBA players Pau Gasol, Jalen Rose and Detlef Shrempf, plus former WNBA Hall of Famer Tamika Catchings.

Henderson will be playing on Team Tamika, along side Orlando Magic All-Star power forward Paolo Banchero, Detroit Pistons second-year players Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duren, Sacramenton Kings power forward Keegan Murray, Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George, and Memphis Grizzlies second-year guard Vince Williams Jr.

Sharpe, meanwhile, had been slated to suit up for Team Jalen, but due to his core muscle surgery, he's been replaced by San Antonio Spurs forward/guard Jeremy Sochan. Sharpe is set to be reassessed in five weeks.

Three games will be played in total. Pairs of teams will square off against each other in one semifinal game, following by a final between the winners of those two contests.

Per NBA.com, tipoff is slated for 6 p.m. PT this evening on TNT. The contest will be streamable on TNT Overtime via the NBA App and NBA.com.
