Salley played in March Madness when he was at Georgia Tech and understands the devastation the players must feel. But for him, this experience teaches everybody to realize the importance of life and how a game is just a game.

So what does John Salley do under self-quarantine? “Working on our core. I've been drinking tons of really good water. … I'm stretching. I get up early and breathe.”

After playing professional sports, a lot of athletes go broke. But not Salley. At 40 he learned about business. And since then, he’s starring in a TV series, LA’s Finest alongside Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba, he produces films, is in the vegan food business, and works with American Shaman, the CBD store, among other ventures. The things that enhance his life that he thinks can enhance others, he puts his effort, energies and resources into.

Even though he invests in the areas that fit his lifestyle, he also has some advice for would-be entrepreneurs: “I would also say invest in the stock market, invest in the Index, and invest in tech,” he says. “You've got to live with tech, so you better invest in it. It's not going to go away.”

Truer words could not be spoken.
