Michael Jordan fan says he knows MJ's basketball weakness

In today's edition of Hot Clicks: During his retirement in 1994, Michael Jordan took time to play basketball with some fans. One confident fan in particular believes he found Jordan's basketball weakness. SI's Robin Lundberg reacts to the fan's scouting report of Michael Jordan and details the adjustments MJ would have had to make to play in the NBA today.

That kid had Michael Jordan all figured out. His own Jordan Rules if you will. Following his first retirement MJ played some pickup ball and as we’ve all seen throughout The Last Dance, rare footage does indeed exist.

As far as the young man’s scouting report, well he must have been talking about beyond the three point line. Because Jordan was probably the best mid range shooter who ever lived. I suppose letting him hit those was preferable to being dunked on but if one could somehow keep him beyond the arc, that’s where Mike might’ve missed the mark as he was a below average three point shooter with his numbers actually inflated when the NBA moved the line in for a few seasons. Now this isn’t me saying MJ wouldn’t adjust, but for the time it was probably your best chance. Even then you would’ve been out of luck.
