The Lakers advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010, ending a nine-season drought, the longest the Lakers have ever gone without playing in an NBA Finals. LeBron James had a triple-double as the Lakers eliminated the Nuggets in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.
